lurondo:

Hey guys! Check it out, now that Tales of Xillia 2 was announced that it’s getting a Collectors Edition (which I have been waiting for) I’m doing a giveaway just for it in thanks for the 409 followers who’ve been with me since the moment I made this blog and so on. From what I’ve mentioned at the beginning, you probably expect it to be Tales of Xillia 2: CE! Well, you’re right! However, instead of just one winner, there will be two! Wanna know what the second place prize is exactly? Here are the details!

First Prize:

Now let me just say I’m not sure about the Rollo Metalcase or the Artbook and such, but this was just a photo I found off of google search.

The Contents which Abyssal Chronicles have mentioned are:

  • Ludger Kresnik Figure
  • Elle’s Pocket Watch Replica Compact

As for this bundle, it’ll come just with:

  • Tales of Xillia 2 game
  • Official Tales of Xillia 2 metal charm

Now the rules and requirements are very simple! It’s like every other giveaway you’ve seen on the dash.

  1. One like and one reblog will count as an entry! Meaning a like will be one entry and a reblog will count as a second entry to this giveaway!
  2. You don’t have to follow me for this giveaway, but if you want to then go for it! I might just throw in something extra for it.
  3. No giveaway blogs.
  4. I will only ship in the US, I’m sorry to those outside who also wish to get the game themselves for free.
  5. You MUST be comfortable with sharing your address to me.
  6. This giveaway will end on August 10th 12:00 AM Central. And the two winners must have their askbox open for me to contact them. If you don’t answer back within three days, I’ll have to move onto someone else.

I think that’s everything! I chose to start the giveaway now so everyone can have a chance at winning this. And with that, good luck!

As part of a tour put on by an organization called The Mystical Arts of Tibet, a group of Tibetan Buddhist monks from the Drepung Loseling Monastery in India recently visited the Crow Collection of Asian Art in Dallas, Texas. They were there for a weeklong residency during which they constructed this magnificent Tantric Buddhist mandala sandpainting.

The monks will spend up to eight hours a day working together on one of their sandpaintings. The process starts with an opening ceremony and the consecration of work site.

Each work begins as a drawing, the outline of the mandala. Then, colored sand is poured from traditional metal funnels called chak-purs. Each monk holds a chak-pur in one hand, while running a metal rod on its grated surface; the vibration causes the sands to flow like liquid.

Once the sandpainting has been completed it is ceremoniously destroyed using a ritual vajra.

"The sands are swept up and placed in an urn; to fulfill the function of healing, half is distributed to the audience at the closing ceremony, while the remainder is carried to a nearby body of water, where it is deposited. The waters then carry the healing blessing to the ocean, and from there it spreads throughout the world for planetary healing."
